The Catholic Diocese of Nakuru which is hosting Eldoret evacuees can also accept checks. Further information will be posted as soon as possible.

In Nakuru Ernest Murimi of the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru says the best way to help at the moment is to have the evacuees have access to blankets and medicines. Food is not as significant an issue at the moment. Those in transit will need support to be able to afford bus fare.

If you visit our contacts page, you will find names and phone numbers of priests in affected areas hosting people forcibly evacuated from their homes or who have had their homes razed to the ground and/or looted. Ask to deposit any money you may deposit to a church as opposed to an individual account.

For those interested in sending money to these church leaders on the ground, we are seeking the full banking details so that you can directly transfer money to them
2. For those in Kenya coordinate relief efforts with local groups including churches and employers.
3. Support the Red Cross’s relief effort in the affected areas
4. Write a petition to President Kibaki and Hon. Raila
